I usually have really heavy periods but this time it was short and very light and very dark brown, sometimes black. It was barely even a period. It seems my hormones are all over the place at the moment 
Answer:It was probably just very iron-rich blood and uterine lining. I wouldn't worry about it - but if you're having hormone issues maybe birth control pills would help.
