Answer:The swine flu vaccine is made in exactly the same way as the seasonal flu vaccine. The main realistic risk is severe allergic reaction, which she won't have if she didn't have that reaction to the regular flu shot.
You can roll the dice if you want but if you would get her the regular flu shot you shouldn't be afraid of this one.
Answer:No any flu shot is considered to be iffy since there is a preservative called thimerosal that contains mercury which can lead to neurological disorders including alzheimer's and parkinson's disease. The human's immune defenses are incredibly strong I would not give flu shots to such a young girl. Omfg at william's answer.. wow "catches it, and dies." yeah the most likely thing to happen. Do you know what the percentage of people who have died of swine flu without a pre-existing condition is?
Answer:The swine flu vaccine is made by the same people who make the seasonal flu vaccine, in the same labs, using the same equipment and applying the same rigorous safety standards. It is every bit as safe as the seasonal flu vaccine.
It is members of "The Party of No" in Congress and their attack dogs Limbaugh, Coulter, Beck and the like who are pretending - that's right, pretending - that the swine flu is not dangerous but that the vaccine for it is! Frankly, I think their behavior is despicable.
I hold, among other certifications, a license as a Registered Professional Nurse. I have six kids and two grandkids. I find myself having to reassure my granddaughters' mothers about the swine flu vaccine, and watching the reports on t.v. of dozens of schools being forced to close because so many un-vaccinated children are coming down with that flu - and of those who've died of it, the majority have been children.
Your child may be fortunate enough to avoid the disease without being vaccinated. But if she does happen to catch it and then dies, how're you going to feel, knowing that you could have prevented her death through a simple vaccination?
Answer:the best thing to do, of course, is to get your daughter the vaccine, however being at home with you, as you stated, limits her chances of getting the flu, that combined with the fact that the season will only last another 2 or 3 weeks, makes her chances of not getting it even better. You're the Mom, you make the call.
Answer:the thing about swine flu vaccine and why some people are against it is because sure its fine for the moment but nobody knows what the long term side effect is and so therefore people are fighting to why it should be giving out, im sure everything will be okay and everyone is expected to have it but pregnant people and others with diabeties will have it first. dont worry
Answer:i have to do a report on the vaccine. We have to write about if we think people should get it or not. I said no, you shouldn't get it. and i have done more than enough research. The REGULAR FLU vaccine is fine! I would just discourage you from getting the H1N1 vaccine. it has a live virus in it and that actually gives you a HIGHER chance of catching the virus. i hope i helped you!
Answer:do not get vaccines period. take care of yourself and your children. and do not get any vaccine. i havnt been sick in years and i dont get vaccinated for anything. i take care of my own health. dont listen to these people who say its safe. the 70s is proof of what happens when you trust the government. you die and develope permanent disorders. dont do it.
Answer:Ask for a thimerosal-free vaccine. Even if your daughter contracts 2009 H1N1 flu, she should recover with no ill effects.
Answer:Say NO to swine flu vaccine.
